News and Updates:

9/20/2009 The "PAINT" Controversy
Due to popular request to change the color of homes in the US Home Anniversary section of the community (the NE quadrant), the Board is considering allowing more color in this section and will possibly seek the help from a reputable paint store in creating a wider palette of colors for homeowners to choose from. The colors in this section are very close to the same color on all the homes and each home is all one color. We have many owners wanting to add accent colors and/or change the entire color of their home.

As it stands right now, our Design Guidelines state that the color must remain the same if repainted and that any change must be approved by the DRC. The DRC would like factors, other than personal opinion, to aid them in deciding what is or is not an acceptable color change. This is where the palette would come in. We would have a professional come out and look at our colors and find coordinating colors that would be acceptable colors to paint the whole house or accents. The palette would then be available to view at the chosen paint store. Frazee is the closest, so may make the most sense to use them for the convenience of our homeowners.

So far, we’ve received mixed feelings from homeowners as to whether or not this should be allowed. I’d like to give everyone in the community, especially those of you in the US Home Anniversary section, to please weigh in as to your thoughts on expanding the palette. If you’d like your opinion noted, please email Shay at mrhoashay@cox.net. The Board will then consider all opinions and comments before making our decision. Our goal is to make a decision and have the palette done (if that’s the decision) by the end of the summer.

So if you live in this section and would like to change the color of your home or add accent color—hang in there until the end of summer as you could have a wider array of colors to choose from. If you live in any other sections, you already have a wider palette so thus far, paint selections in other sections of the community have not been an issue.
8/1/2009 Home of the Quarter
The winner this quarter is … 10673 Malta! You will receive a $25 gift card to Home Depot! Thank you for keeping your yard so clean and beautiful and adding to the beauty and value of our community!
6/15/2009 New Pool Security Systems
The security of both pool areas has been updated to include security cameras, higher fences and a new magnetic card gate unlocking system. The new system should cut down on unauthorized entry which has led to vandalism in the past. The new system is now in place and the old locks have been changed so everyone must become familiar with system. The system is set up using a key card that is encoded for each owner. When you enter the pool by passing your card in front of the key pad, your keycard will be recorded on a computer and again when you exit the pool. Please do not lend your keycard to anyone or allow anyone into the pool area that does not have a key or is not your guest. If there is damage or vandalism and your card was used to gain access, you could be charged with the cost of repair and have your keycard deactivated.

Everyone should review the pool rules and also keep in mind that after hours the lock on the gate is automatically turned off. Your keycard will not open the gate after hours so not only will you not be able to get in, but you won’t be able to get out. Please make sure you’re out off the pool area before 10:00 PM. The Board of Directors has the right to revoke the keycard privilege of any homeowner who improperly uses their keycard. This applies to any adult homeowner allowing under-age children access to their keycard.

One last reminder: If the gate is not closed completely or is propped open, a load alarm will sound until it is closed. This is for the safety of children who may wander in and to keep our pools from being shut down, as it is the law that the gate be closed at all times when not entering or exiting.
11/19/2007 Pool Parking Lot Repaving Scheduled
The parking lots at both the Eastside and Westside pools will be repaved on Monday, November 19th. This should take approximately 4 to 6 hours. If you plan on using one of the pools that day, please plan to walk as parking will not be available. Thank you.
